Scholarship Requirements for Fall 2023 start
- plan to enroll full-time at Allan Hancock in Fall 2022 and while participating in the ENGAGE Scholarship & Mentoring Program in 2022-23
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, national or refugee
- have completed the FAFSA for 2022-23
- eligible to receive need-based financial aid**
- pursuing a B.S. in engineering or computer science
- on-track to transfer in Fall 2023 (no later), as indicated by the Student Education Plan
- targeting Cal Poly as a great option for your B.S. degree
- enrolled in Calculus 3 in Fall 2022 (or have previously completed this course)
- if you are on the Physics track, you should be enrolled in Physics 163 (or have previously completed this course)
- current GPA of 2.7 or above (if you do not currently have a GPA because you are a new student, this will be based on your Fall 2021 grades)
- able to maintain a semester GPA of 2.9 or above if accepted into the ENGAGE program. Note: GPA is one of many factors that will be taken into consideration when your application to ENGAGE is reviewed.
** Excess Unit Appeals
- If you have completed over 90 units of college coursework total and are currently attending Allan Hancock College, you may be required by the Financial Aid Office to complete an Excess Unit Appeal.
- This is very common for engineering and computer science majors.
